We’re a long way away from the sacrifices and idealism of our forefathers. So very sad.
I consider our current collective state to be that of a blind man in a forest full of dangers – and our leaders are cyclops with shekel signs for eyeballs.

Just to remind you how compromised the new land of the “free” was Taxi, you should watch this talk by Simon Schama (I know he’s a zio, but this is fascinating):
Hey thanks for a really interesting share, Anne O. For sure I’ll make time to watch it tomorrow – too late in the eve here in the Levant and my eyes are two soggy droops.
As to listening to zios – well it doesn’t hurt to do it every now and then so long as the topic is interesting and they’re not whining and whinging. I tend to limit my zio-hear quota cuz life is too short and they’re usually most unpleasant.
