*PREDICTABLE: Israeli politicians from all parties condemn nuclear agreement – JerusalemOnline
“Now is the time to unite everyone in one house, and to launch an informational attack on the American public opinion” – Miri Regev
Shortly after reports of the historic agreement reached between Iran and the world powers, politicians from Israel’s right and left condemned the deal. Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely addressed the deal as an “agreement of surrender” and MK Yachimovich called it a “dangerous and harmful agreement”.
“The implications of the agreement in the foreseeable future are very severe, Iran will continue disseminating its metastasizing terror cells in all directions, it will continue to inflame the Middle East and worst of all – will take a huge step toward becoming a nuclear threshold state. Israel will use all diplomatic means in order to prevent the confirmation of the agreement,” Hotovely said.
Culture and Sports Minister Miri Regev claimed that “the fact that Tehran is celebrating the agreement shows how bad for the free world, for humanity. Now is the time to unite everyone in one house, and to launch an informational attack on the American public opinion.”
“The last word has not been spoken and the U.S. Congress is not expected to approve the agreement because of the West’s capitulation in the face of the terrorist state,” Regev continued. “Iran now has a license to kill and we must revoke it before it is too late.”
But while Regev called for the unification of all Knesset members against the agreement, the opposition also attacked Prime Minister Netanyahu. “Once the dangerous and harmful agreement with Iran becomes an established fact, Netanyahu must immediately cease his confrontation with the Americans,” said MK Shelly Yachimovich, a member of the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.
“It turns out that Netanyahu’s harsh confrontation with the Americans was a total failure, it will be taught in history books,” added Yachimovich. “Netanyahu must come to his senses and improve Israel’s standing with America and protect the interests of Israel at this time.”
“The Labor Party must not be a partner to the attempts to bypass the U.S. administration through Congress,” she stressed. “‘Life itself’ as Netanyahu calls it, requires Israel to return to dialogue with our greatest and closest ally. This move is essential for dealing with the Iran agreement and to maintain, with Americas assistance, Israel’s deterrent force.”
