Netanyahu threatens to target young Palestinian stone-throwers – Jeffrey Heller/Reuters

by Newsstand

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM – Israel is considering giving its security forces a freer hand to shoot at young Palestinian stone-throwers, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said on Wednesday.

Under standing orders, Israeli soldiers facing violent Palestinian protests can open fire with live bullets only in life-threatening situations. That effectively bans firing at Palestinians who flee after hurling a rock or petrol bomb.

But after meeting with several cabinet ministers and security chiefs to discuss an increase in stone-throwing in Jerusalem and on a highway in the occupied West Bank, Netanyahu suggested the rules could be hardened.

SodaStream chief accuses boycotters of anti-Semitism – AP

by Newsstand

IDAN HANEGEV INDUSTRIAL PARK, Israel — The chief executive of SodaStream, the beverage maker that is shuttering its West Bank factory in the face of international boycott calls, accused his company’s critics Wednesday of anti-Semitism and hurting the interests of the Palestinian workers they claim to protect.

SodaStream, which produces machines that allow people to make fizzy drinks, has been targeted by an international campaign calling for boycotting, divesting and sanctioning Israeli companies. Citing financial reasons, SodaStream announced it was closing the West Bank factory last year, but the so-called BDS movement declared victory and said its pressure was behind the decision.

Islamophobia Rising: FBI Warns ‘Militia Extremists’ Are Targeting Muslims – Kit O'Connell/MintPress

by Newsstand

WASHINGTON — While the mainstream media showers attention on any crime with even the slightest hint of a connection to ISIS or other Muslim extremists, less attention is being paid to a growing number of threats against everyday Muslims in the United States despite the FBI raising the alarm.

The FBI issued an intelligence bulletin in May, warning that “militia extremists” are increasing their violent rhetoric against Muslims and even potentially making concrete plans to target them for violence. “The FBI makes these assessments with high confidence on the basis of a large body of source reporting generated mainly since 2013,” noted the bulletin. This marks a change from the militia’s usual targets, the agency notes, which typically include the government and any group perceived as a threat to Second Amendment rights.

Two Thorns in Obama's Side – Thierry Meyssan/Voltairenet.org

by Newsstand

Whatever happens, Washington will win in Syria, because the United States has not one, but two different policies with regard to this country. Either there will be peace, and President Obama will be praised for having successfully negotiated with Iran ; or else the Syrian Arab Republic will be destroyed and occupied by NATO, and a few US generals and NATO will be praised for having brought an end to the bloodbath. Here, Thierry Meyssan reveals the underside of this double policy, in particular the plot that was hatched by the NATO Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs.

The application of the agreement reached between Washington and Teheran, on the 14th July, 2015, depends mainly on President Obama’s capacity to convince his fellow-citizens, and particularly the Congress of his own administration, to accept it. Here, however, he will be faced with two major obstacles.

Nutty Netanyahu Bites the Pig, Faces the Boot – GPD/Veterans Today

by Newsstand

Last weekend, Netanyahu dined with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi at the Enoteca Pinchiorri, one of the world’s top 50 restaurants and described by Michelin as one of Florence’s “temples of gourmet dining.” The restaurant’s menu features such high-end meals as rabbit with Taggiasche olives, lobster with lemongrass, and Mora Romagnola baby pork.

The food undoubtedly made for a great dining experience for the Israeli prime minister, but unfortunately for him, none of these meals are part of the kosher diet.

Our Radical Islamic BFF, Saudi Arabia – Thomas Friedman/The New York Times

by Newsstand

            (Hugging the Flogger)

The Washington Post ran a story last week about some 200 retired generals and admirals who sent a letter to Congress “urging lawmakers to reject the Iran nuclear agreement, which they say threatens national security.” There are legitimate arguments for and against this deal, but there was one argument expressed in this story that was so dangerously wrongheaded about the real threats to America from the Middle East, it needs to be called out.

That argument was from Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney, the retired former vice commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe, who said of the nuclear accord: “What I don’t like about this is, the number one leading radical Islamic group in the world is the Iranians. They are purveyors of radical Islam throughout the region and throughout the world. And we are going to enable them to get nuclear weapons.”

The Dirty-Dirty Narrative War and the Smear Attacks on Palestine Activists

by Taxi

We already know that Adleson and Saban held a secret anti BDS summit not too long ago and assigned some Forty Million Dollars to the cause of “fighting BDS”.  Well, now we know where some of that money is going to:  skanky bloggers who are out there smearing activists in the most disgusting way – literally referring to them as “pedophiles” for defending the children of Gaza.  My advice here is two-pronged.  First, relentlessly beat the shit out of the offending deranged zionists on the bloggosphere.  Second:  all smeared activists really need to gather themselves as one and class-action sue the living daylights out of the writers of such filth and fuckeries.
