Imagine being driven by violent war to flee your home, leaving behind everything you know and love. What about your pets? Would you bring them too? Could you imagine leaving them behind to fend for themselves, never knowing what fate they could meet?

These Syrian refugees have risked their lives to get to safety. Leaving behind their beloved pets was simply not an option.

These two men travelled from Syria to Greece, then on to Macedonia with their dog Johnny. They said there was ‘no way’ they could leave him behind.
