What to Do about the ISIS ‘Caliphate’ – Graham E. Fuller/Consortiumnews

If Daesh isn't crushed soon and its influence trickles down into mainland Africa from its Libyan base, it can't get worse than that. It might lead to, God forbid, the use of nuclear weapons and the incineration of geographical spaces dwarfing Hiroshima.

Turkey is now a huge liability for NATO… and America – Michael Brendan/The Week

I don't think that's going to happen. Saudi Arabia and Israel have deep pockets in the Empire, which has morphed from the American empire into neoliberal headquarters. Saudi Arabia and Israel despite the clash of civilisations, are the closest allies. It makes no sense they will allow an all-out assault on Daesh and other Islamist cults. The headquarters for that is Riyadh. Turkey may be an heir to Saudi Wahhabism but my guess is it's going to pay a price like Pakistan. Saudi Arabia elites contrary to what we read is not "religious" in any fanatical sense. Wahhabism is primarily a tribal ideology, their ruling sceptre, which suits radical Islam very well for the same tribal unifying reasons and the ruling Saudi elite are beholden to that ideology for the sake of power, they will support it to hold on to that power. That's why they fear Iran's ideological influence, not Shia Islam per se. Israel and Saudi Arabia are essentially occupying Washington, there's no way Saudi Arabia is going to be attacked. At best Obama can avert a war against Iran drummed up by these two and that, too, because it opens Iran to business and they get that support from other quarters to level against the Saudi-Zionist axis.

LOL you mean an alliance against themselves? Do you really think French chest-thumping over Libya is a non-issue and Zio-USA is a spectator to the rise of Daesh. Russia is the only one out of the countries that you mentioned has a relatively moral, straightforward foreign policy.

This is an odd article but a window into the worldview of selfishness and villainy on the part of Uncle Sam that led to the rise of Daesh. So now Turkey is a liability because it shook the boat too much and makes NATO 'look' embarrassed? A mere PR problem for the league of horrors that is supplying weapons to Saudi Arabia to devastate Yemen and in general, and whose psychopathic presidential nominee Clinton cackled at the lynching of Gaddafi. Honestly I don't care a damn if Turkey is a liability to NATO, Michael Brendan, this house of horrors is rotten anyway.

Excellent stuff, Danaa and Taxi. "All roads lead to Damascus… indeed." "Israel is not invincible, nor is it immortal, as zionist propaganda would have you believe." Biggest chink in the Zionist armour is its false sense of invincibility. Making the desert bloom, mastery over destiny and other myths are inbuilt in Zionism, myths that will be proved wrong in due time as is the finality of all myths. The same will happen to belligerent Gulf states and Saudi Arabia and the oligarchy in Washington which does not serve ordinary Americans, the laws of cause and effect guarantee that any excess has a rebound effect.

Meanwhile, Hollywood Zionists don't give up: They are successfully steering public opinion via public relations. The Zionist poison is making the world convulse with its clash of civilizations juggernaut. The WASPs while not without arrogance were better leaders of media and the film industry than Zionist Jews who can best be described as an organised mafia.

U.N. voted to partition Palestine 68 years ago, in an unfair plan made even worse by Israel’s ethnic cleansing – Ben Norton/

Really, what do you expect? From the study that concluded that the US is an oligarchy and not a democracy, even "when a majority of citizens disagrees with economic elites and/or with organised interests, they generally lose." I'm coming to the conclusion that there is no such thing as "American empire" either. The decisions made are those of a share market, you don't have to guess who or what these "organised interests" are, which is what makes the Chomskyte thesis so obfuscatory whether intentional or not. This guy said those things about Kerry because he can; Kerry and Obama are mere puppets, maybe struggling at times and shoring support in some possible quarters but too weak against "organised interests" even if they had the support of the "majority" who are meanwhile swamped with mainstream disinformation.

Disgusting actions by Turkey and Zionist-occupied USA. But that's to be expected. Good on Putin calling out the unutterable obvious on the Axis of Evil that's been backing Daesh.

Actually a lot of wise and informed journalists have linked Islamism with Israel. It is a legitimate link given similarities and how Israel is hell bent on the destabilisation of its neighbours. Saudi Arabia should be boycotted as well, it equals Israel in nastiness and arrogance. Do you think the ISIL would have gotten so strong and effective without Israeli and Saudi rabble rousing? Saudi and Turkey have armed it definitely. Wahhab yes, but I also think there is a sort of primordial honour culture that leads to Islamism and has always been present and hasn't been taken care of in parts of Arabia and Asia. This culture defines Zionism as well but I wouldn't doubt if it precedes Judaism itself. It's something about tribe and honour. That's why Muslims in places like Malaysia have been spared these effects even as Wahhabism encroaches upon them.

Talmudism, Imperialism, Terrorism

I mean sire as a verb, in effect leaders being replaced by/ giving birth to themselves, same old cacophony.

This is nationalist moralising rhetoric in the language of the Hitchens variety of New Atheism. The French establishment long suffers from delusions of grandeur as can be gauged from its stiff upper lip operations in Libya. That's the issue.

I've stopped watching the news or reading the paper, things are too damn depressing. I've been trying to think logically and can only say that this cycle is bound to continue as long as official bodies support overthrowing everyone from Gaddafi to Saddam, as long as they believe some people are more chosen than others. Talmudism is a tribal religion that has taken root in the aftermath of colonial chaos, it is using fire, rape and everything in the honour, tribal Talmudic arsenal through alliances with every crook and 'nobleman'. The world is not moving to any enlightenment, the leaders sire themselves and repeat the old errors.
