Alison Weir Responds to JVP’s attack and smears of antisemitism

June 9, 2015 1:08 pm
Atzmon and Eisen seem to push the envelope of what can no longer be taboo for discussion, so I give them credit for taking the taboo out of discussion. But I agree that Atzmon can be outrageous, but look at who he is arguing - often a clique of fundamentalist Israelis or Zionists who believe God gave them Palestine. It's like arguing with mental patients often.

Paul Eisen is compadres with Atzmon. He posts good material that never would pass muster at MW.

good comments about JVP here: "dakersting29 May 2015 at 04:00 JVP says, “..our central tenet is opposition to racism in all its forms..”, but that’s a lie. JVP has never taken an unequivocal position against Zionist Israeli racism - constantly avoiding any statement that might infringe the perpetuation of “Jewish” supremacy in most of Palestine. In fact, JVP’s mission statement includes “an end of Israeli occupation of the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem.” This is an outright declaration of support for racist occupation everywhere else in Palestine - an outright rejection of any position calling for the end of racism throughout Palestine - the one and only position the Zionists dread, because it would clarify the basic wrong of the Jewish state and would catch fire among ordinary egalitarian people. JVP’s real problem with Alison Weir is that she draws too much attention to the fundamental racist wrong of forcing any Jewish state into a multi-ethnic region. They certainly cannot find any statement by her, that can even rate on the same racist chart as their own statements and long-standing positions. The best they can do is vilify her for being associated in any way with people they claim are “racist,” though no one could be more racist than JVP - even if they went a half-step farther and said “I am a racist.” JVP has always used deceptive, equivocating language, designed to maintain some credibility, while promoting a hopelessly muddled “pro-Palestine” discourse, but more recently they appear to have spun out of control - filled with the usual Zionist arrogance, which makes them very reckless about exposing themselves to genuine human-equality standards."

A Musical Shout-out from Plato’s Guns to All My Blogging Pals at FriendFeed!

Long Live Friend Feed! While it had some setbacks (like paragraphing and bold/italics/underline) it was unequal to any other platform. And recalling data was so easy. Facebook should be the one closing down, not FriendFeed. It goes to show you even a sound idea can be bought out by a larger corporate power and shelved in the icy data warehouse. I understand FF wasn't bringing in revenue, whereas Facebook does, but why not keep it running as part of the FB portfolio of programs? Probably to get you to join Facebook and then you can be data-mined like everyone else. Here's some nostalgia for y'all. One of the first posts on MWFF on JeffBlankfort being banned with 526 comments!

Hops should be canned/banned. He's thoroughly dishonest and downright creepy and everyone calls him on it. It like a guy you invite to your salon/party and he continues to make excuses for apartheid-land while saying 'you're the one with the problem'. lol Wasn't 'American' the one who started the dust up with Jerry Slater/Donald about Just war?
April 9, 2015 4:39 pm
In that Blankfort thread he says 'when I was first notified of the banning by apparently Phil under pressure by his minder, Adam...'. And how did Donald get an elevated platform during that dust up? btw if you want to save any FF post, right click and select 'save as a webpage' I think FF is toast after today.

making certain topics verboten, undermines any cause/ makes a blog seem provincial. I recall on DailyKos that they could even discuss zionism or Israel. That's kinda odd for a liberal leaning site. I think it's changed today (how could it not).
April 9, 2015 4:26 pm
I agree. It didn't need to go down like that, but I don't know what happened behind closed doors at that time.

de nada, wao. that was a polar shift to the comments section back then and FF served as a back channel, props to mcbride (and only 3 years & 2 months ago!)

Iran Nuke Deal is a victory for Iranian “culture of good manners”

April 3, 2015 3:22 pm
I wanted to start a petition with some org, like Avaaz, where you could get signatures of every American citizen who wanted to opt-out of the occupation and financial support of Israel. You could probably get 20 million signatures and that would scare the politicians and AIPAC. Something like that to get this ball moving.

I watched Mark Regev reaction last night on CNN's Erin Burnett (she's a CFR shill) complain and complain this is a Bad Deal for Israel. They come to expect the US to service it's every demand, but there is no significant return, like a anchor that is slowing the ship to a halt Time they started surviving on their own. The USA or any western nation cannot prop this oppressive settler colony forever.

Netanyahu’s Victory And Isreal’s Legitimacy – Taxi

-"but not THIS kind of state – a state that’s hostile to the world and its communal order – a state where shameless, violent Apartheid is worshiped"- Israelis are dishonest with themselves & the world about WHO they are and where they are headed (although they may actually be truly lost and are failures at leadership, since they have been great agitators for so long. Making peace to them probably indicates they'd lose their cult-like brotherhood bonds, so they'll tack into the dark storm ahead and repeat their Masada drama. Wait for a Israeli politician in the next year to start talking about dismantling Al Aqsa Mosque and start the construction of the Third Temple. lol, what a bunch of deluded fuck-ups if I ever saw... This reelection lets the world know where they stand. Now the next stage is cutting the umbilical cord from the USA. They are so great and think they can 'go it alone', I say good luck, nice knowing ya.

Israelis Vote For War and Deeper Global Isolation – Taxi

I knew those rubes would reelect their guy when he screamed 'no two state solution'. Sad part is most of the American politicians will do whatever their reelection coffers tell them to do. And whether it's Pelosi or Boehner, they will all support the coming decades of apartheid because of Jewish power and capitol which pervades the d.c. beltway.
