RT Founder Mikhail Lesin’s Fishy Blunt Force ‘Suicide’ – Shane Harris/The Daily Beast

by Newsstand

It had been a mystery for months, but evidence of foul play has mounted in the death of Kremlin-backed media figure Mikhail Lesin.

An ex-aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin did not die of a heart attack in a Washington, D.C. hotel room last year as was previously reported, but from “blunt force injuries of the head” as well as “the neck, torso, upper extremities, and lower extremities,” a spokesperson with the D.C. medical examiner’s office told The Daily Beast.

The medical examiner reported Mikhail Lesin’s “manner of death” is “undetermined.”

Almost immediately after Lesin’s body was discovered last November, the broadcasting outfit RT (Russia Today), widely seen as a Kremlin mouthpiece, reported that Lesin died of a heart attack, citing an unnamed “family member.”

Israel Raids Palestinian TV Station – AFP

by Newsstand

Ramallah (Palestinian Territories)  – Israeli forces have raided the West Bank offices of Palestine Today television and arrested its manager over allegations of inciting violence, Israel’s Shin Bet internal security agency said on Friday.

The overnight operation targeting the station’s Ramallah offices was the latest attempt to silence Palestinian broadcasters Israel believes are fuelling a five-month wave of violence.

The Shin Bet charged that the channel “broadcasts on behalf of the Islamic Jihad” militant group and said it had closed it in a joint operation with the army.

The subject of Kerry’s uncharacteristically Churchillian remarks, delivered in the Treaty Room at the State Department, was the gassing of civilians by the president of Syria, Bashar al-Assad.

A Tango with Trump

by Taxi

trump boombox maxresdefault

With his own party members and elders publicly attacking him full-throttle, Trump has become the elite underdog – a conceptual oxymoron in and of itself, but such is the notable upside-down character of the 2016 presidential campaign.

The main reason for these attacks appears to be Trump’s “neutral” position on Israel and his rejection of warmongering Zioconism and PNAC’s project of endless wars in the middle east – expensive military conflicts that benefit Israel and only Israel, not the USA’s interests and most certainly not Israel’s Arab neighbors and world peace at large.

G4S to Sell Off Operations in Israel as BDS Claims Victory – Jack Moore/Newsweek

by Newsstand

G4S, the world’s largest security firm, is selling its entire business in Israel in a move that it said on Thursday was for “commercial reasons.” The global Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign has claimed that it was responsible for the decision because of pressure it applied on the British firm.

G4S noted in its 2015 results on Wednesday that it would be exiting the Israeli market after a review of its portfolio of businesses. The British company said that it has sought to remove dozens of businesses from its portfolio in the last two years and this decision had the same motives as other sales.
